Call for Participation
The ACM Kolkata Chapter invites nominations from faculty members across institutions in East and North-East India for the ACM Kolkata Computer Science Project Contest 2026.
Each participating team must consist of undergraduate students from the second, third, or final year of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, or allied disciplines. Only team submissions are permitted; individual entries are not allowed. Each team must be formally nominated by the Project Supervisor and endorsed by the Head of the Department / Institute Head. Each institute or department may nominate up to three teams.
How to Apply?
1. Teams must complete the online application form. The form captures team details and the following documents:
a) Scanned copy of the nomination form duly signed by the Project Supervisor and forwarded by the HoD / Head of the institute.
b) Short description of the project in the prescribed template.
2. The names of shortlisted teams will be announced on 17 May 2026. Only shortlisted teams will be required to upload the final project report/dissertation via the same online application form by May 22, 2026.
Registration Fee: No fee required at initial submission stage — Payment instructions will be communicated to shortlisted teams.

Contest Information
Procedure for Adjudication
All submissions will be reviewed by a Selection Committee appointed by the ACM Kolkata Chapter. Shortlisted teams will be invited to present their projects before a jury panel on May 30, 2026, at the University of Calcutta, Salt Lake Campus. Final selections will be based on submitted documentation and project presentation (demo optional). All finalists will receive ACM certificates for participation.

Cash Awards
- Winner: ₹25,000/-
- Runner-Up: ₹15,000/-
- Second Runner-Up: ₹10,000/-
- Finalists & Special Mention(s): Certificates
Application Fees
No Cash or Cheque accepted
- ₹1,000 + ₹180 GST for a team of two members
- ₹500 + ₹90 GST for each additional member beyond two
- Maximum team size: six members
One faculty member may participate as a mentor and must register as an additional team member.
Teams from institutes with an active ACM Student Chapter are eligible for a 20% discount on the standard registration fee. ACM members are eligible for an additional 15% discount on the applicable registration fee.
* No registration fee is required at the initial submission stage. Payment instructions will be communicated to shortlisted teams in due course.
