Call for Participation
ACM Kolkata Chapter appeals to the faculty members in the East and North-East India who are acting as the Supervisors to nominate their students for the ACM Kolkata "UG Project Contest Award in Computing for 2025".
A team from an Institute shall consist of UG students in the second / third or final year of their studies in CS/IT or in allied streams. Students who are to be nominated as a team, and not as an individual participant. Each team needs nominations from the respective Project Supervisor and HoD/Institute Head. Each institute/department can nominate a maximum of 3 teams for the contest.
How to Apply?
1. The team should fill the nomination form online: Google Form The form captures the team details and online application fee payment information. Upload the scanned copy of nomination form [Doc 2] (duly signed by supervisor and forwarded by the HoD / Director / Principal of Institute, where students are enrolled) Upload filled project description document using the template provided [Doc 3]
2. The shortlisted team’s names will be announced mid-April. Only those teams need to upload final project report/dissertation on the earlier filled editable online form by May 1, 2025.

Procedure for adjudication
All the entries will be evaluated by a Selection Committee from the ACM Kolkata Chapter. The short-listed teams will be asked to present in front of a panel of Juries on May 11, 2025, at the University of Calcutta, Salt Lake campus. Based on the presentation (with optional demo) and documents uploaded, winners will be selected. The winners will receive cash / vouchers and certificates. All participants in the final will ACM certificates for participation as the finalist.

- ACM Kolkata UG Project Runners Up Award: Rs. 15,000/-
- ACM Kolkata UG Project 2nd Runners Up Award: Rs. 10,000/-
- ACM Kolkata UG Project Special Mention Award(s) and certificates.
Application Fees
No Cash or Cheque accepted
Rs. 1000 (+ Rs. 180 GST) for a team of 2 members from the same institute. Rs. 500 (+ Rs. 90 GST) for each additional member beyond the first 2 members. The maximum team size must not exceed 6. One faculty member per team may join the team as Mentor and is to register as additional team member. Each team must pay the appropriate Registration fees, after their proposals are short listed for the final round.
ACM members will get 20% discount on the standard registration fee mentioned above.
* Teams initially need not pay any registration fee. Updates on the payment procedure will be notified to all the finalists in due course of time.
